Calling All Sweet Tooths

Sunday, August 29, 2010
If you have not seen the show Top Chef on Bravo, you have clearly been living under a very sad little rock for quite a while. For those of you who haven't seen it, it is as dramatic as Gossip Girl, filled with as many clebrities as People mgazine, and it is the real reason why fashion people all seem to know how to cook now. Needless to say, it is one of our favorite chef competition shows. So, when we found out that a new spin off called Top Chef: Just Desserts was created, we could not have been more excited.

Johnny Iuzzini, Gail Simmons, Hubert Keller, and Dannielle Kyrillos

The show will battle pastry chefs against each other in classic and crazy Quickfire and Elimination Challenges. Pastry chefs have been waiting for the day when their field will get its "name in lights," and sugar really does make people crazy. The show will be hosted by Top Chef judge Gail Simmons, and the head judge will be Johnny Iuzzini, pastry chef at Jean Georges. The other judges will be Hubert Keller and... Dannielle Kyrillos. Remember that name? Our lovely DailyCandy Editor-at-Large is making her foodie debut, and we wouldn't miss it for the world.

 Dannielle Kyrillos

Top Chef: Just Desserts airs on September 15th at eleven o'clock, right after the Top Chef finale. So get ready for a pastry chef smackdown. This is, truly, Sweet by Bravo.

Oh, The Shoe Fits, Trust Us

Saturday, August 7, 2010
Here's a little MSM Biology lesson: The only human appendages that never stop growing are ears, noses, and feet. But what does that mean for our one of a kind white leather oxfords?
We all have that pair of shoes (or 6 pairs, if you're anything like Taryn Juliette) that you just can't bear to part with, but sometimes the shoes just doesn't fit. When you find yourself in this position, we know exactly where you can turn:
http://www.iftheshoedoesntfit.com/
"If the shoe doesn't fit" is a website that allows you to buy & sell your precious foot jewels that just don't fit anymore. It's an auction style site where the highest bid takes home the hottest shoes. But don't be fooled, not all of the shoes are previously used. This site has plenty of brand new shoes that are auctioned off everyday for cheaper than you'll ever find them in a department store.
Fabulous. Enough said.

But don't wait to check out the shoes that are up for sale at "If the Shoe Doesn't Fit," because they're almost all one of a kind, so that everyone can find a pair of shoes (or 6) that are the perfect fit.

A New York State of Mind: A Full Week of Fabulous Day 7

Sunday, August 1, 2010
I had an awesome time during my week in New York. As with any trip, a few pictures got left out of my other posts, so here we go with a few little extras.

An epic of an epic epicness? Miss Saturday Morning is in.

Anyone ever seen the Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place? I was totally psyched to see this. Unfortunately there were no wizards around... or Selena Gomez for that matter.

The Statue of Liberty

I had a ton of fun in New York City this week. As mentioned in a snippet before, I'm coming back here on Friday, September 10 for Fashions Night Out. I'll also be here for a little bit of New York Fashion Week.

The party's not over yet! I hope you enjoyed A Full Week of Fabulous on Miss Saturday Morning!

Fashion and Academia: A Full Week of Fabulous Day 6

It is no secret that the fashion capital of the United States is New York City, so it is also no secret that I very much would love to attend college there. So, as part of my New York trip, I did college tours of Colombia University up in Morningside Heights and a tour of New York University in Greenwich Village. Here are the pictures!

The main library at Columbia has the names of all the famous philosophers engraved on it.

NYU doesn't have much of a campus, your campus is New York City, but here is a picture of the NYU subway stop in Greenwich Village.

How fun would it be to live in the fashion capital of essentially the world? I would never stop loving it. Until next time lovelies!

Hottest Look of the Week: Soho Style: A Full Week of Fabulous Day 5

I found this girl in Topshop in Soho, so it's no surprise that her outfit is very chic. I love her nod to menswear with a tank tucked into fitted, high waisted trousers. Her patent grey/cream belt and black shoulder bag finish off the look, and of course some shopping bags, because, let's face it, if you're in Soho and looking this cute, you've got to be a bit of a fashionista.

At first when I ask most people to take their picture for a fashion blog, they are a big shocked and confused. Upon asking tshe immediately goit into full on model status, with a concentrated face and no smile. I did however get her to grin in a second picture, above.

Confessions of a Shopaholic: A Full Week of Fabulous Day 4

There really is no way to visit New York City and not go shopping, and my visit was no different. Here are some pictures from my day of shopping.

A giant Apple Store on 5th Avenue. FAO Schwartz, the very famous giant toy store, is to the right. I loved it when I was little.

A Louis Vuitton store, also on 5th Ave. J'adore the pop art eiffel tower on the storefront.

Next I made a stop at Bergdorf Goodman. Every girl's dream is to shop at this store, I'm completely convinced.

shoes, Shoes, SHOES!!! Gotta love Ferragamo.

The true Holy Grail of all shopping, Saks Fifth Avenue.

Next I went down to Soho and checked out Topshop. The only Topshop in the country is in Manhattan, so I had to stop by.

They have an awesome new men's section now too. You can take your guyfriends there now ladies!

Next I went to Topshop Makeup. It's full of fun colors and has every product you could possibly imagine.

The Topshop special edition makeup collection.

All of my lovely finds!

I had a great time shopping in NYC. Next we have the Hottest Look of the Week! Hope you're enjoying A Full Week of Fabulous!
