The Metropolitan Museum of Art: Where art meets fashion and creates beauty.

At this years Costume Institute Gala, the stars didn't hesitate to blend trendy and Haute Couture when they stepped out onto the red carpet wearing some of the most breathtaking gowns that have debuted this year. The theme was "American Woman" to celebrate the Met's new exhibit done in collaboration with The Costume Institute called "American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity. With this in mind, stars graced the red carpet in a variety of colors with red, white, and blue being the most prominent.

Our favorite look was Sienna Miller who showed up looking divine in an Emilio Pucci gown.

We love all the textures in this look.

We love the playful lengths and the leg peek-a-boo going on in the dress.

And with attractive eye candy, Jude Law, Sienna steals the red carpet at this years Gala.

But that's not all!
Here are some of the looks that we also loved from this years Costume Institue Gala:
Thandie Newton rocked an oragami purple Vivienne Westwood gown.

Karolina Kurkova looked like a modern greek goddess in Altuzarra.

Camilla Belle in a classic red gown designed by Jason Wu, right.

The gala was filled with inspiring fashions, and the exhibit is up at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 5 through August 15, so if you're in New York City any time soon, we highly suggest you try to check it out!
xoxo,
Christina Anne and Taryn Juliette
